  • Jacksonville running back, Fred Taylor, ran for 76 yards and caught two passes for a total of 14 yards. One of the team leaders, his performance this season will play a key role in how successful the Jaguars are on offense.
  • Byron Leftwich (7) hands off to Fred Taylor (28) early in the second quarter of the home opener against the Seattle Seahawks. The Jaguars have abandoned last year's more structured "west coast" offense for a more flexible system that will depend on Leftwich's ability to think on his feet as the play develops.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach, Jack Del Rio, reacts to Jimmy Smith's 3rd quarter touchdown reception which gave the Jaguars the lead over the Seattle Seahawks late in the third quarter.
  • Seattle Seahawks Quarterback, Matt Hasselback, drops back to pass early in the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite 21 completions for 246 yards, the Seahawks came up short, losing 26 to 14.
  • Jacksonville native, Cornerback Rasheen Mathis (27), enjoyed the home opener against Seattle and had a good day with five tackles and one assist.
  • Jacksonville Jagaurs Head Coach, Jack Del Rio, looks down field as 2005 NFL Season gets underway. The Jaguars have high hopes for this season with a revamped offense and NFL leading defense.
  • Mike Peterson (54) and Reggie Hayward (97) take down Seattle's star Running Back, Shaun Alexander (37) during the second quarter. The Jaguars shut down the Seatlle running game, a key element in their 26-14 victory over Seattle.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars QB, Byron Leftwich (7) looks on early during the home opener against Seattle. The Jaguars unveiled a new offense which will depend on Leftwich's ability to think under pressure and keep defending team's off balance with audibles.
